For my soundscape, I overlayed the sound of me cross country skiing with the sound of the wood-burning fireplace at my family’s cabin. These two activities, skiing and sitting around a fireplace, are quite opposite and yet they are always connected in my mind. A day of skiing means an evening spent around the fire. The two sounds are eerily familiar and very hard to distinguish when played together.
