For my Project NOW assignment, I focused on the problem of consumerism. The goal of this project is to draw attention to the pervasive American addiction to “stuff” and specifically the rampant consumerism surrounding fashion and clothing markets. I want this project to evoke thoughtful reflection about the viewer’s own desire to buy new clothes. When you look in the mirror, do you see yourself or do you see the things on your body?
