For my Project NOW assignment, I chose the decision to build a $61M police station in Lacey, Washington that is requiring a large amount of forested area to be bulldozed. This project will contribute to the overpolicing of the area, and expand the reach of cops on the local community, as well as taking away the already dwimdling natural habitats of the local wildlife. The goal of my project is to take this situation and use it to reflect the larger idea of government violence on both the people and the environment.
