There is a lack of queer representation in sex education and because of that and because of that sometimes it feels like you don’t belong in the class or at school. I created a piece entitled “I don’t wanna be here” because of that feeling. The figure looks away from their book seeing a bird that has perched itself on the desk, symbolizing the disinterest in an education that doesn’t teach queer people and the longing for freedom in a school system that enforces one school of thought.
