I was inspired by recent news events in WA state where students worked towards helping to make NARCAN more accessible to all people, to help prevent opioid overdose deaths. This art piece is styled after graphic novels. There are two mirrors, so that the viewer can see themselves in either possibility: the mirror on the left is hazy and cracked, denoting the dangerous position of an overdose. The mirror on the right is clear and welcomes the viewer to see themselves freely in the position of being able to save a life.
