I am pretty sure it can wait

I chose to do my project on the genocide happening in Gaza right now. It is something that weighs heavy on me every day, especially knowing that my tax dollars are funding it. I wanted to make a piece that… Continue Reading →

Project NOW Part Two: Execution Women’s rights.

For this piece here I am showing how the effect overturning abortion can have and even yet the later consequences. With examples from other countries not having the same abilities or luxury, unsafe abortions can often kill the parent.

High Value Men

This piece is meant to illustrate the normalization of misogynistic hate speech, and how when it is formatted as a meme or simply content from an influencer, it is much more easily accessible to young impressionable boys. They begin to… Continue Reading →

Vincent

My project is on epilepsy. Specifically, the misconceptions surrounding the neurological condition. Many people believe the condition to just be what are known as tonic clonic (or grand mal) seizures with a sensitivity to flashing lights. In reality, only 5% of people living with epilepsy have a sensitivity to lights. Epilepsy can also be beautiful. From finding community within people living with this condition to the appreciation of life- of independence. The color for epilepsy awareness is lavender due to the color’s calming effect. Vincent Van Gogh had the condition and in his legacy was an appreciation for beauty never seen before. Epilepsy is not static in pain but rather in flux with beauty and autonomy.
