This work is about the lack of acknowledgement or conservation efforts to the Dune sagebrush Lizard in New Mexico due to the shared habitat with oil drilling companies. People in positions of power such as in the government, have for decades, pushed to prevent efforts to save these lizards which have recently been put on the endangered species list.
