This soundscape represents the ignorance and avoidance of privileged people who do not wish to acknowledge the horrors that are happening in Palestine. I recorded the sound of the rain and cars passing alongside my apartment building, and the sound of me placing a record on its turn table. My sister and I did the voice acting, and I sampled the song “For What it’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield and protest chants from the YouTube video Protesters chant ‘free Palestine’ in front of Israel’s London embassy from The Independent.
