Bellingham’s verdant landscape owes much to its rainy weather. The frequent showers nourish the forests, parks, and gardens, making the city a haven of greenery year-round. This rich vegetation not only enhances the city’s beauty but also supports a diverse ecosystem, including numerous bird species whose songs provide a melodic counterpoint to the rain in my recording.

Listening to the rain is a meditative experience. Each droplet, as it lands on different surfaces, produces a variety of sounds – from the soft, almost musical tinkling on metal surfaces to the gentle rustling as water is absorbed by the earth. This natural symphony is both calming and refreshing, a gentle reminder of the cycles of nature that sustain life.
