For this project I thought it would be interesting to type as much of the opening of Genesis I of the bible as I possibly could in one minute. Then when I reached the last 3 seconds, erase as much of it as I could by only tapping backspace. I liked the ironic contrast between an important text only being conveyed through the mechanical “clacking” of keys and nothing else. I was inspired by the artists we studied in the Language and Technology sections and I wanted to play around with the disconnect we discussed between language and reality that can exist sometimes.
