For my project I wanted to look at the dangers of false information with modern day news. On January 6th we saw how much people are willing to do for false information if they think their cause is just. The original image is from the January 6th events. I replaced the wood form the gallows with the news stories claiming voter fraud, showing how these stories created and built the events of January 6th through their misinformation. The soundscape is supposed to represent the story a person listening to all of these news channels and seeing them slowly believe the fraudulent election claims. This ends with them listening to the chants of a crowd of people screaming to hang Mike Pence. My main takeaway for people when looking at this is to always be careful where you get your news from and take everything you hear with a grain of salt, especially during an election cycle.
