This self-portrait shows the blending of my digital and natural organic self having been shaped by life during the pandemic. The left side, distorted with a glitch effect, reflects the fragmented, artificial, masked screen-based identity that comes from so much virtual interaction. The right side, softer and softened with more organic tones and paint-like texture, represents my natural, introspective self. Together, these two sides show the balance I’ve found between my online/media presence and my authentic self, influenced by this unusual time of isolation and connection.
