I have always had a love for sewing and textile mediums, however I am most confident with using a machine when it comes to large projects. When the pandemic hit I decided to challenge myself and start learning hand sewing techniques and quickly became fascinated by the freedom from machine-only techniques it offered. As I explored this more I decided to remake parts of my body by patterning stitching and stuffing together imitations such as hands, torsos, and appendages which all helped me to better appreciate the complexity of the human form and deepen my skills with the craft.
