I used the sound of waves hitting the shore to emphasize the liveliness of the landscape. Then a saxophone interlude to represent my internal monologue when I experience sadness and loneliness as I navigate my way through life. Depending on the intensity of melancholic emotions; the contrast of an abrasive and unrhythmic sound, compared to a slow melody can be relaxing or overstimulating. I am representing the relentless nature of emotions and how it can isolate you from the present, through contrast and slight lack of color.
