This soundbite tries to encapsulate the feeling of panic, starting with a slow build up. You can hear faint breathing as the wind rages on, and it begins to build as a tapping sound can be heard, like knocking on wood. It begins to quicken as the wind picks up, and the breathing becomes staggered, quickening as well. It culminates in a slow descent, as the panic subsides and it all begins to calm down. I believe it represents how quickly terrible things can end, but how terrible they make us feel, and how that may stay over time, since the tapping never stops, only slows. The picture I used is a screenshot of Resident Evil 4, since I believe it represents this panic as well, as it has it’s calm moments, but the fear and paranoia sticks around, ruining the calm.
