This wire sculpture reflects the contemporary battle to protect reproductive rights. The worth of women in America is directly tied to their uterus’ and ability to produce a child. In this piece, I chose to place my subject in a pose to showcase the artistic capabilities the subject may have. Yet, all of her limbs are tied back to her uterus, showcasing how the worth of her contributions to society is reduced to her reproductive organs.
