I wanted to make a project based off of Bottom Trawling which is some of the issues our ocean faces. With the nets and rollers dragged across the floor, it tears up natural sea floor habitat, and it is a cause of overfishing. I wanted to display that to the best of my abilities in this painting, tearing up the canvas, and showing a lack of fish outside of the nets.
