Whenever I see a picture of myself, I think back to when I was a teenager, perfecting the act of a selfie to cover up all the insecurities I so-desperately wanted to disappear. I hyper-fixated on the way my eyes looked when I smiled, how my teeth looked, or if my face looked weird without my glasses on. Thank god I’m nicer to myself now, but it’s still hard to look at a picture of myself without over-analyzing it.
