In this piece, I am considering the visibility of identity, and how identity is often judged to be valid or not by others simply through observation rather than taking in more information. It is a more literal take of feeling that there are eyes on one’s self, as not only is there the knowledge that one is being watched, but that whatever conclusion is drawn may create tangible changes in interaction. In general I often dislike telling people certain parts of my identity, as I can almost feel them weigh the information against what they already know about me or what they have decided at first impression.
