Queer people are told a lot about how to be the right thing in the world, how acting as they want is unsafe for themselves and others. This control is not healthy, the use of a person’s body and their access to care should not be governed by laws. That is much too personal, and troublingly, opinionated; we are not being told this by scientists or therapists or even ethicists. The rhetoric that a trans person should not be allowed in the same restroom as someone outside of their biological sex overlooks so many things, including that rules such as this are as invasive as we supposedly are always planning to be.

It is troublesome to be seen as one thing, because it always leave someone out or loops someone in. If you are trying to protect citizens, learn about citizens, why they are acting as they are and what can benefit all, not just the status quo.
