For the housing market, none of these factors will weigh as heavily as mortgage rates, if they remain relatively high, transactions will be based more on households making moves to changes in jobs, finances or household composition. Over time, they will continue to slowly rise. There are a couple of experiences I’ve had with this topic as I am a student renting, and even my family at home and dealing with stuff price wise rising there as well. This past year renting and seeing the price of our rent rise as we continue to renew and it’s a little scary to watch, especially in the conditions me and my roommates live in.
