This piece is about environmental policy in the United States. Since his inauguration, Trump has ramped up oil and natural gas production and shut down renewable energy. To me, it feels like the U.S. is barreling full speed ahead toward the edge of a cliff, and if we don’t stop, we could take the entire world with us. My picture depicts this by showing coal being mined, processed in an industrial city, and used to fuel a train, which is about to fall off of a cliff.
