I chose to base my work of art after the trade war as I feel this is an event that could effect us all negatively by increasing the rate of inflation as tariffs are inflationary. Over the last couple years, inflation has been very hard on most people and it is hard for me to understand why they would implement tariffs which are known to increase prices.
