“Out of Grasp” is a piece inspired by the increasing cost of imports due to tariffs. A subject my parents particularly remind me to pay attention to when shopping online. This piece splices & combines many photographs taken by myself over the years, both in the USA (most evident in the American flag) & in foreign countries. (Things not photographed include the flying money & the drawn, by me, stick figure).

Note: the water is spliced between a photo of the sea in Washington, Seattle, and a photo of the ocean in Japan to retrieve the intended effect.
