My piece "Modern Banner" is a comment on the American military-industrial complex and specifically the involvement of the US government in the Israeli genocide of Palestinians, providing significant amounts of funding and military resources to Israel which have been used to carry out unthinkable acts of cruelty. The United States has been a historically interventionist entity in many conflicts, during which war profiteering activities have been rampant. As citizens we are implicated in the assistance of inhumanity as long as we are represented by the forces of greed.
