Hello! My name is Mara Parks and I am from Missoula Montana. Three interesting things about me could include that I am a backcountry horse packing and fly fishing guide over the summer as a seasonal worker, I am a thrower on the WWU track and field team, and I have a dog named Maggie who is back at home that I miss dearly. I am currently an Art studio major with a Minor in art history and am taking this class to hopefully get a better grasp on how to make my art more acsessable to the general public. I want to have everyone who wants to see my art be able to, so I’m hoping to learn the best, most ethical way to do that in this class. I expect this course to be difficult in the way of stretching my mentality around ableism in a way I havnt thought about before and being able to apply it to how I view accessibility. Im very excited to learn more!
