This self-portrait I did was make through a digital medium, overlaying large, impersonal blocks of color onto myself. The clarity of the background, my fundamental ideas about myself, clashes against the blurriness of the subject, which is intended to convey my poor connection with my emotional needs and wants, something I have spent the last half year or so struggling with. As I grow as a person, I hope to refine this image of myself until it too is clear and sharp.
