The topic my work focuses on representing is the weight and burden of the modern 24 hour news cycle and its affect and influence on people. Seen in my work are the cold, unfeeling pipes through which our news is delivered, only influenced by what they put out into the space they occupy. There are also arms, and hands, reaching, fighting to stay above the torrent. The ability for us as people to access such a vast array of news in seconds, easily, from nearly anywhere on the planet, has impacts on us mentally and physically, and engrossing one’s self into the news entirely is often a burden.

This work was created through use of both image manipulation as well as 3D modeling to include depth and scale, with the goal to feel slightly unsettling from the low poly count on the objects within.
