I was inspired by a point made by Roy Wood Jr. of The Daily Show, who pointed out how Donald Trump didn’t receive the same experience (cuffed, put into police cars, forceful psychical treatment, unknown scheduling of arraignment) as regular/poorer after being charged with 32 counts of falsifying business records. I wanted to symbolize this difference in treatment by using subtle items and optics and show the stark differences in the relationship with police that wealthy people have versus less fortunate people.
