The push for mass consumerism via advertising has infiltrated every aspect of our lives. There are ads on gas pumps, buildings, and videos as pictured here which demonstrates how even at a time of relaxation we are forced to be reminded of the items we can/need to consume. In this case, the ad is for the US Airforce, which historically exploits low-income individuals to continue its dominating power spreading capitalism globally. We must work and work to spend and spend. We cannot rest because we need to consume more and more and if you cannot afford to it may cost you your life.
