Having been of Cambodian descent, I thought it would be appropriate to have a Cambodian-looking character. Missing an arm because of the Khmer Rouge and how most Cambodian families are broken because they had to move, but flowers to show that moving could have been a blessing in disguise. My family was broken up because of it, but after visiting Cambodia a few times, I can definitely say I would rather live in America for sure.
