The word synesthesia is a perceptual phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. In this piece uses the echoing of water droplets as the of sound reflects off of the environment to create and shape space. Close your eyes and imagine you are in the same cave. Take in the different pitches of the water drops and consider how the cave may distort or muffle the sounds, and the position of the water to yourself.
