For my NOW project, I asked ChatGPT to write a prompt for another AI image generator detailing how it thinks it will affect the world. I did this by asking ChatGPT to predict life in the year 2034 and emphasize the good and bad that will come with the rise of Artificial Intelligence. After tweaking the prompt a few times, I was left with “Generate an image portraying the societal ramifications of widespread unemployment caused by artificial intelligence (AI) in 2034. Highlight the adverse effects on civilization as a whole, such as economic instability, social unrest, and inequality. Illustrate how AI-driven automation has disrupted traditional employment structures, leaving a significant portion of the population without viable job opportunities. Emphasize the broader consequences for communities”. using Microsoft Designer I generated this image with the given prompt. I find this Image to be interesting as you see hundreds of people in the street, representing the jobs that I’ll be lost to AI and the homelessness / poverty that comes with. you also see billowing smoke from a lot of the tall buildings to me this tells me that ChatGPT doesn’t think it will be used to solve important issues such as climate change, and how environmental issues will continue to be disregarded.
