Above are journal entries, where each entry is my own tears. The tears distort and warp the page as the they dry. This is a small sample of my tears, as I do not always have this notebook handy with me to cry onto when the moment hits–in the future I plan to look for any piece of paper around me to cry onto and stitch it onto this journal later on, if it’s not on hand. This journal aims to call attention to the mental health issues that stem from the intense workaholic culture embedded within my degree program, and serve as a raw representation of the burdens my peers and I struggle to carry day in and day out.
