I was unable to do the piece that I really wanted, but I still wanted to tackle the juxtaposition of our everyday lives and what is happening abroad in Gaza, and Palestine, and in the Congo even. Especially with the encampment that happened on campus. I had wanted to further engage our students about it but I think I will still be able to through instagram. I used appropriation heavily in this piece taking photos off of the internet and comparing them to selfies taken of myself or even of shopping ads taken off of the internet to kind of ask about what we are directly engaging with in the world whether it is deemed superficial or of note.
