Feeling too Colorful Yet? Is a hybrid drawing and assemblage, using colored pencil to create a rainbow of skin, representing the embarrassing feeling of accidentally wearing an outfit thats a little too colorful. The skin is overlayed with marker, which extends into the hair. My shirt is made of saved papers from different adventures with friends, the sunset background, is a cutup paper from my mom, and the reduced stickers are from a roll of them (gifted by my older brother a few years ago) To the sides of my face I drew my thighs and back/biceps in graphite, as a way to mix my not seen body into the work, but also because these are the parts of my body with tattoos (though I couldn’t really draw them) Overall, this peice is supposed to be somewhat overwhelming, showing how I tend to overwhelm myself by making art instead of doing course work.
