For this project I decided to protest the firing of National Parks and National Forest Service employees. I did this by appropriating symbols such as Smokey the Bear, the National Parks logo, and added sayings such as “You’re fired” or “Fight your own damn fires”. The badges were designed using Inkscape a vector drawing and then laser engraved/ cut to emulate the junior park ranger badges handed out to children who visit the parks.
