perception recognition and identity

I decided to look at issues of personal identity as well as how we perceive ourselves and are perceived by seeing how far I could distort these self-portraits until the are no longer recognizable as images of me. As someone with body dysmorphia my grasp on what I actually look like is very loose and seems different each time I look. This was an interesting challenge for me to try and maintain common features to try and make the drawings look like they are bases on the same person.
