This piece explores the loss of vibrancy and life due to climate change. My goal was to show a harsh change from bright colors to pure white, and remove the thriving marine life.
The sound I recorded here is the bubbling of dry ice when submerged in water. The idea is that the dry ice is slowly decaying much like the polar ice caps over time due to climate change.
As someone who can suffer seasonal depression during the Fall/Winter months, Summer is my favorite season and I generally associate the sun and the warmth that comes with it with some of my fondest memories.
