Everybody loves to zone out to a white noise. I find the sound of sweeping on concrete to be so calming. It’s a universal sound that can be heard all over the world and will still sound exactly the same, similar to shattered glass. I remember listening to the sound outside my window in Thailand, in Mexico, and even here, back home in Washington.
Whether it is a phone addiction or something more serious like gambling or alcoholism, twenty-one million Americans suffer from some sort of addiction and only ten percent actually receive treatment. The first step to recovery is recognizing that you have a problem. I want those who struggle to remind themselves every day, that you are in control of your own life. Don’t ever lose hope. The best way to get out of a hole is to stop digging.
