Abortion rights (Eva Silverman)

This is my piece on the issue of abortion rights. The woman pictured is depicted as a disconnected body with no arms or legs. She has been silenced and bound with shackles of the same color of the fetus she is carrying. She is skinny and the fact that she is cut apart is symbolic to the health issues that are a result of being pregnant. The life is quite literally being sucked out of her.

Distorted Record

This is the cover image for my soundscape “distorted record” where I used my broken record player to play around with a Mozart record I found at a garage sale. I switched between speeds, causing a disorienting sound. I feel that this soundscape represents when a memory or perception of something calm and lovely changes or becomes distorted due to new information and context. The new memory is a distorted record of what you used to know as true.
