Category Studio Project: Identity Reconfigured

The human body is central to how we understand facets of identity such as gender, sexuality, race and ethnicity. Using the concept of Syncretism/Hybridity – as a state of being arrived through the innovation of mixing and borrowing, students created new representations of the self, formed and shaped in this particular moment of time.

Who Am I?

Who am I? My name is Tia, using this picture along with specific identifications to myself. My identify follows, my sexuality, my orientation regarding my ethnic and where I originate from. My love of the moon, and my zodiac sign. Along with my love of plants and flower tattoos, and my dachshund dogs. Breaking myself into these simple categories seems enough give a basic understanding of who I am as an individual.
