This was an Action piece with burning cardboard. The darkness and the fire seem to eat away at the glowing paper from both sides. Inspired by Willem De Kooning and how the art he was making would show him when the paintings were finished and not the other way around.
The photo started out as a field of grass. The coloring was completed when inspired by listening to music.
