Online Books

  • https://r4ds.had.co.nz/index.html  (Wickham, H., & Grolemund, G. R for Data Science. This is a free online book that reviews basic R commands. It seems best for data exploration, visualization, etc. It also has a powerful search function. The book itself is somewhat crowdsourced, and is continually updated.)
  • https://aupsychology.github.io/statsbook/ (Franklin, R.G. (2017). Statistics: The Story of Numbers. This is a basic stats textbook, together with R commands. It goes through z scores, t-tests, correlation, oneway ANOVA, etc, but not much beyond that. It is also searchable, so if you need help doing a basic inferential stats analysis it may be good to check here.)
  • https://bookdown.org/ndphillips/YaRrr/ (Phillips, N.D. (2018). YaRrr! The Pirate’ Guide to R. This is very cute. It is also a basic guide that covers descriptives, data manipulation, management, and some basic inferential statistics. It goes a bit farther with the stats—up to 2-way ANOVA and multiple regression. This seems like a good go-to resource.)
