This medium for blogs is the internet. Blogs can have many topics but it is common for them to be focused around a show or group of people. Blogs are a special genre where the writers can also be the readers because (usually) anyone can add to them and they are their for anyone to read. They are written in the style of a conversation and are updated constantly. Blogs are used as a place to discuss things you are interested in with people who have the same interests.

The content of a blog usually only contains things about the blogs theme. for example, you aren’t likely to find someone willing to share a fried chicken recipe on a Dragon Ball Z blog. Blogs have a pathos appeal to them because you really would only participate in or read about a blog that interests you. You are most likely to be interested in things you are emotionally connected to. The text is organised by topics within the theme of the blog usually and the text is organised into almost a question and answer form. You use a blog as a conversation and since anyone can contribute, blogs are usually not very formal and tend to include slang. Jargon about the theme is usually in the text as well.

In order for you to appreciate a blog, you should know at least a basis of the theme or it might be confusing. Although, since it is in a conversation style, you could ask questions and learn a lot about the theme and topic. One thing about a blog is it is not always reviewed for accuracy so it is not usually used as something you would cite when researching a topic. Finding people with similar interests and diving deeper into the theme is what is most important about a blog. Accuracy tends to not be very important and is sometimes disregarded. The genre enables people a place to talk about their thoughts and get feedback from others.
