“To M. B.”

“To M. B.” as it appears in Higginson’s The Voice of April-Land and Other Poems (1903).
“M. B.” are the initials for the Madeline Bridges, pseudonym of the writer Mary Ainge de Vere (1844-1920). In a letter, Higginson reports that on her trip East with her husband, she met with “M. B.” for an afternoon in Brooklyn.
