Important Note: This overview of the Non-Tenure Track (NTT) Review Process is supplemental and not intended to conflict with the requirements of CBA Section 8.1.3.
Introduction
Senior Instructors with multi-year commitments are evaluated during the last year of their commitment period. All other non-tenure track faculty are evaluated on an annual basis.
Departments have the option to use Interfolio as a tool to conduct Non-Tenure Track Reviews or they may conduct reviews in an alternative fashion with paper or emailed documents. Whichever they choose, a department is required to use the same method for all Non-Tenure Track Reviews they conduct. Candidates for review should contact their department chair to determine which method will be used for their review.
Eligibility
The Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) states, “Non-tenure track faculty shall be evaluated by the department chair in a manner established by the departmental evaluation plan and on the basis of expectations and duties defined in the letter of offer.”
