Influenza/Pneumonia in Elderly

This brochure targets individuals that are most at risk of dying from influenza and pneumonia which are those that are 65 years and older. Historically, influenza and pneumonia have been extremely virulent diseases that have caused major world health issues, especially in very young, and older populations. Both of these populations carry greater susceptibility to these diseases, and therefor should take added precautions to ensure good health. Preventative action, such as receiving  the annual flu vaccine can greatly decease your chances of falling victim to influenza followed by pneumonia. Older populations, statistically represent only 1 in every 6 individuals infected, but they account for 80% of deaths due to influenza and pneumonia.

  4. I think that targeting your brochure towards the elderly was fantastic. Like you said, influenza affects the elderly a great deal and can be” the difference between life and death”. The pictures were very good and made the brochure very appealing. However, maybe yellow isn’t the best color as it can be very polarizing. Overall I though your brochure was very well made and easy to understand.
