  1. Oooo, the brochure is extremely aesthetically pleasing. Really enjoyed the use of calming photos, colored boxes, and a clear theme. Glad you all didn’t use a scare tactic, and instead went with a more calm approach to help victims of stroke.

  2. The front of your brochure looks so professional! I like the images chosen and it was executed very well. The information is very informative and I like that you guys went with an approach of what to do in an emergency situation. As well as ways to prevent a stroke, I didn’t actually know that there were ways you could prevent a stroke. Well done!

  3. The brochure was visually very appealing. They did a good job at stating the risk factors of contracting a stroke but it was a little repetitive. I wish there was more information on what a stroke is, how those risk factors increase your risk, or like their intro says- how to deal with someone having a stroke.

  4. Stroke, ischemic (Caused by blood clots.) stroke specifically, is actually reversible with the use of thromobolytic (Clot-busting) medications. The caveat is that for the highest chances of recovery, the medication has to be administered within 3 hours. (http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1159752-overview#a1) For this reason, there is a move toward designated Stroke Centers, of which Peacehealth St. Joseph’s Hospital is one. (http://www.peacehealth.org/about-peacehealth/medical-professionals/bellingham/Pages/emergent-cardiovascular-services) As a designated Stroke Center, all regional stroke victims are routed to Peacehealth for treatment.

  5. I really liked the pictures you had, they were very eye catching and calming! It was nice that you kept the information simple and easy to read. I also really thought that the learn the signs of stroke was important to add. Good job!!!

  6. The background picture looks really great! I like how you color coded risk factors and the corresponding prevention.

  7. This is so aesthetically pleasing! I love the water scene, very calming. I also liked the risk factors and prevention portions, they were very well organized without being too wordy.

  8. Prior to taking a first aid class I was unaware of the warning signs of stroke and I think a brochure like this is a great way to get the basics out to the public. Even though I have learned the signs in the past, I would pick up this brochure to provide myself with a refresher. Knowing the signs is the best way to increases the chances of living for someone that may be suffering from a stroke.

  9. catered to the audience you were trying to reach, liked how the background photos were not seperated on each panel but one big photo instead, nice job!
