Hi everyone, my name is Benjo Weimer. I’m an E5 and my venture project is working to create a new Disability Studies Minor at WWU. WWU has one of the highest proportions of students with disabilities to it’s student body in the United States but still lacks a program that focuses on the study of Disability in Society. This quarter I’ve been able to set up the first Philosophy of Disability course which I will take as an independent study next quarter! I’d love to work with other students or community members on creating new classes at WWU.
